Radiesse® Filler

Radiesse® is a filler treatment that can help you fight a multitude of signs of ageing. In other words, it can be the catalyst to becoming a whole new you.

The treatment involves injecting a specialised substance into the skin to stimulate collagen production, restore facial volume and improve the appearance of wrinkles, folds and sunken areas. These are all things that can happen naturally with age, but you don’t have to let the state of your skin slow you down!

Radiesse® acts as a scaffold system beneath the skin. This provides structure and stimulates your body’s own collagen to grow. The process continues even after the procedure has been completed, with several months of beneficial effects following a single session of injections.

Radiesse® contains tiny calcium-based microspheres in a water-based gel. The microspheres are very similar to naturally occurring minerals, so there isn’t an invasive substance entering your system. Over time, your body will absorb the microspheres and the gel, and the result is natural collagen for a naturally beautiful you.

With the help of a Radiesse® filler treatment, you can expect to tackle the following issues:

  • Lost collagen
  • Lost facial volume
  • Wrinkles, folds and sunken areas

The treatment is mildly uncomfortable, and usually takes around 60 minutes for one area. Most people require 2–3 treatment sessions, which will generally be spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.

There are a few short-term side effects to be aware of with Radiesse®. You may experience temporary redness, swelling and tenderness at the treatment site and the best solution is to apply an ice pack to the treated area right after the procedure, and for the rest of the day. As long as you exercise reasonable caution, some normal activities can be resumed right after treatment.
