Skin Institute Terms & Conditions:

Free Cosmetic / Appearance Medicine consultation
A free Cosmetic / Appearance Medicine consultation is typically 15-30 minutes long with an Appearance Medicine nurse to discuss your skin type, address a particular skin concern or to discuss a cosmetic procedure that you may be interested in.

Free cosmetic consultations are for:

  • IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)
  • Botox®
  • Fillers
  • Facial Peels
  • Dermal Rolling
  • Microderm/Microhydrabrasion
  • Skincare

You will be given printed information about the products and procedures discussed to take home. Once you have read through this, we suggest you make a full consultation to discuss these in depth.

Free Spot Check
A free Spot Check is for checking 1-2 moles or lesions of concern. It is not an offer for a full body skin check. A Free Spot Check is not available at some clinics.

Other Appointments
The free Cosmetic / Appearance Medicine consultation and free Spot Check are the only two consultation types that are offered free of charge.

Other appointments are classified as Initial Consultations and Followup Consultations. Both have a consultation fee associated with them.

An Initial Consultation is your opportunity to discuss your concerns with a Specialist Doctor and to be given a recommendation of treatment based on your personal requirements. It is useful to us when making a booking online, that you state the name of the procedure or treatment that you would like an appointment for in the “More Info” field of the appointment form. That way we can get back to you with available times to meet with a Doctor who specializes in the area of your concern.

Arrival Time for Cosmetic Treatments
Please ensure that you arrive in plenty of time for your appointment as arriving late will not only lessen your time spent with us, but the effectiveness of your treatment also. In some cases your appointment may need to be rescheduled to another date and time. As a courtesy to all our clients, treatments are completed as scheduled.

Cancellation Policy for Cosmetic Treatments
We understand that sometimes it is necessary for you to change your appointment. Out of consideration for others, we kindly ask that you provide a minimum of 24 hours notice if you wish to change or cancel your appointment. If insufficient notice is given a 50% cancellation fee may be incurred and no shows may be charged at full price.

Payment for Cosmetic Surgery
Please make sure you pay for your surgery, in full, 7 working days prior to your scheduled surgical date. Payment by cheque is to be received 10 working days prior to your scheduled surgical date. We reserve the right to cancel your surgery if payment hasn’t been received and cleared prior to your surgery date.

Cancellation Policy for Cosmetic Surgery
We understand that sometimes it is necessary for you to change your appointment. Out of consideration for others, we kindly ask that you provide a minimum of 7 days notice if you wish to change or cancel your surgical appointment. If insufficient notice is given an 80% cancellation fee may be incurred and no shows may be charged at full price.

The terms and conditions outlined here apply to all users of the Skin Institute website (http://www.skininstitute.co.nz) and to all purchases of product that are made from Skin Institute Ltd (when you see the words “we”, “us” or “our” on this website it is also intended to mean Skin Institute Limited).

All terms and conditions are current, although subject to variation from time to time and we reserve the right to vary our terms and conditions for any reason and without notice to users in order to meet business demands and/or comply with any relevant laws. Viewing and using our website on one or more occasions deems that you have read, understood and accepted all of our terms and conditions. Governing Law
We are a New Zealand based Company and supply goods and services within New Zealand, therefore by your use of this website you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand Courts and our dealings with you are governed by New Zealand Law. If you do not agree to submit to the laws of New Zealand, then you should immediately cease your use of our site.

We will take reasonable care to ensure the information presented in our website is accurate and the opinions given (if any) are fair and reasonable. We cannot and will not be held responsible for errors or misstatements or be liable whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise for any loss or damage caused (whether direct, indirect, consequential, special, or loss of profits). If you feel any of the information contained on our website is misleading or inaccurate, please bring it to our attention immediately.

Advertising
From time to time there may be advertising displayed on our site. We will take all reasonable care to ensure the advertising is relevant or useful to our users however we will not be responsible for the content of any of the advertisements and give no warranty about the truth or accuracy of any representations made in those advertisements. It is your responsibility to confirm the accuracy of any representations or special offers made with the supplier concerned when you respond to or rely on their advertisement.

Pricing
We supply goods and services in New Zealand, so all goods on our website are advertised in New Zealand dollars (NZ$) and include New Zealand Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 15%. We reserve the right to change advertised prices at any time before your order has been processed and payment accepted.

Gift Vouchers
Gift Vouchers are available and are valid for one (1) year from date of purchase for the treatment specified. If no treatment is specified then they may be used for the following services or product offered by the Skin Institute clinic where the gift voucher is being redeemed, to the dollar value specified.

Gift vouchers can be redeemed for:

  • Microdermbrasion or Microhydrabrasion
  • Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
  • Facial Peels
  • Beauty Therapy
  • Skincare Product

Gift vouchers may be redeemed at any Skin Institute clinic, nation-wide, where the above services are offered. Note:  Not all services available at all clinics. Please phone and check prior to booking on 0800 754 637.

Gift vouchers may not be used in conjunction with any other special promotions or offers. They cannot be refunded. No change or credit can be given.

Special offers or promotions that appear in a publication or our email newsletter may only be redeemed until the date specified in that publication or email newsletter. Other conditions may also apply.

Online Shopping Delivery
Delivery is only available to addresses within New Zealand. Purchases will incur a delivery charge, which will be outlined at the shopping cart stage of purchase.

All goods will be delivered by the carrier and method nominated by Skin Institute Limited to the address specified on the order. Rural addresses may attract additional fees.

 Non–receipt of any goods must be notified to Skin Institute Limited within seven (7) days of the order date.

 Orders will be processed within 2-3 working days depending on stock availability. If an item is temporarily unavailable, you will be advised and informed of estimated delivery date.

Online Shopping Returns and Replacement
Any goods damaged in transit can be returned in original packaging. Skin Institute Limited must be notified of any such damage within three (3) days of receiving the order. At this time, the return process will be advised. Once the damaged item has been receipted a replacement item will be dispatched.

Changes to Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by notifying users through our website.
