Dr Steve completed medical training in Newcastle, Australia, before completing his Fellowship in the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners. He has since completed a Professional Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine and Advanced Certificates in Dermoscopy and Skin Cancer Surgery.
He enjoys diagnosing and treating skin cancer as it combines keen diagnostic skills, definitive treatments, and a preventive approach.
He is totally committed to high quality and equity in skin cancer care, as well as guiding his patients with clarity and empathy through often complex and distressing times.
When not at work Steve is usually outside, spending time tramping, surfing, diving, gardening and doing conservation volunteering.
