Dr Maya Steeper graduated from Otago University in 2004 and after working in New Zealand, Ireland and Australia, she returned to NZ to complete her Fellowship in General Practice with postgraduate diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Palliative Care.
In 2019 she began working in Phlebology, treating varicose veins and spider veins. She has completed the Certificate of Basic Training and Certificate of Advanced Training in Phlebology through the Australasian College of Phlebology and holds a Certificate of Ultrasound in Phlebology. She is a Southern Cross Affiliated Provider for the diagnosis and treatment of varicose veins.
She currently splits her time between a busy general practice in Freemans Bay and treating Varicose Veins at Skin Institute. Maya regularly attends international conferences to keep up to date with the latest developments in treatment for varicose veins, lymphoma, lipodema, leg ulcers and skin conditions related to chronic venous disease.
