Dermamelan is a topical depigmentation method for medical use. It has an intensive corrective effect on skin hyperpigmentation while regulating the overproduction of melanin by the melanocytes, inhibiting and controlling the appearance of new dark spots. It has a dual corrective and controlling action, achieving short- and long-term results by keeping hyperpigmentation under control.
You may have to discontinue some particular products prior to your Dermamelan peel.
The Dermamelan mask is applied in clinic and remains on the face for 4 hours, then you simply remove it at home with warm water.
There is an easy-to-follow list of post care instructions to follow for 72 hours. This is compulsory to ensure the desired results.
For best results, use skincare with Vitamin A and C a month prior to treatment. We may also advise a peel a week prior, depending on your skin sensitivity.
You may wish to take antihistamine to reduce itching. Once your skin has settled you will start using the pH-balanced skin care products provided, instead of your usual skincare regime. Using this homecare daily is essential to long term pigment reduction.
After 4 months, we advise switching to a skincare regime with Vitamin A, C and pigment inhibitor for the next 6 months.
