This program is led by world-leading professors and doctors in the field of skin cancer. Mark is deeply motivated and driven to continuously pursue new knowledge and enhance his skills.

Prior to joining Skin Institute, Mark served as a resident doctor at Waitakere, North Shore, and Greenlane hospitals from 2012 to 2014. From 2014 to 2024, he gained extensive experience in large-scale medical centres in West Auckland. During this period, he built a reputation for his expertise in skin cancer diagnosis and management within the community, regularly receiving referrals from both patients and fellow doctors.

In addition to his focus on skin cancer, he has fulfilled various roles including that of a general practitioner, an accredited GP teacher for RNZCGP, a principal investigator of clinical research trials, and the director of a medical center.

Outside of Mark’s professional endeavors, he is a keen surfer. “Much like my passion for hunting down melanomas, I find great joy from navigating through hills, crawling through thick bushes, crossing rivers in pursuit of that perfect wave”.
