Immigrating from China at the age of seven, Dr. Alan Wong grew up in the rural central north island town of Whanganui.
Graduating in 2018 from the University of Auckland, Alan spent the next three years between Auckland City hospital and Middlemore hospital before making the switch to general practice with a special interest in skin cancer medicine.
He finds skin cancer medicine rewarding, as it combines investigative medicine and definitive management to successfully treat one of the most preventable types of cancers.
Alan enjoys photography and playing tennis in his spare time. Alan is able to speak conversational Mandarin.
