Brachioplasty
Brachioplasty (arm lift)

Arm lift surgery means be wearing sleeveless tops and dresses again. Many women suffer from saggy upper arms. The tissues give way and shift as we age, causing the upper arm to change shape.

Modern non-surgical treatments for varicose veins are more successful and safer than surgery. Our patients are delighted to avoid surgical stripping and literally walk-in, walk-out from treatment with us. With years of experience and excellent results, our friendly Vein Team really enjoy following our patients through their journey from diagnosis to a successful outcome.

About

This surgery is a compromise between a long scar and an improved contour.

The scar is on the inner aspect of the arm, starting at the axilla (armpit), and generally finishing at the elbow, although on some occasions it can be higher up on the arm, or may extend beyond the elbow.

A support garment must be worn 2 – 3 weeks off work after surgery.

You need 2-3 weeks off work, depending on your type of employment.

Treatment

This surgery is a mixture of liposuction and open surgery. Liposuction is done initially to thin out the posterior arm, and then the skin and remaining tissue is removed surgically.

This surgery is done either under local anaesthetic and sedation, or under a general anaesthetic. You will be able to go home the same day.

The sutures will be removed at 7 days post – op.
