COVID19 (Coronavirus) Advisory

Covid-19 Update:

Following the Government announcement and in accordance with COVID-19 restriction requirements, all of our Wellington clinics are open operating at Level 2 guidelines and clinics outside of Wellington are operating at Level 1 guidelines. The health and safety of our clients and staff remain our number one priority and we will be operating with the strictest hygiene and safety protocols in place.


COVID-19 Level 2: Wellington Clinics 

Clinics in Wellington are open providing all services, with increased safety measures now in place.

Increased Safety Measures Now in Place

When you arrive:

  • Fill out the triage checklist, please where possible use your own pen
  • Your temperature will be taken
  • The NZ Covid Tracer AP QR code is displayed for you to scan on arrival
  • Visitors (not a patient) details will be added to our visitor log. This information will only be used for contract tracing purposes.
  • Either wash your hands our use hand sanitiser.
  • The Ministry of Health recommends you wear a mask

To keep you safe:

  • Keep 1m where possible from other patients
  • Stand behind the Perspex screens at reception
  • Our staff will practice social distancing wherever possible
  • Our staff will wear personal protect equipment (including eyewear, gloves and surgical masks) when they are within 1m for 15 minutes or more, with patients or colleagues
  • The clinics are cleaned frequently, especially high touch areas and between patients
  • Please use contactless payment where possible
  • If you have any Covid-19 symptoms you will not be able to enter the clinic and we ask that you return home, call healthline and then phone us to reschedule your appointment

Clinics in the rest of New Zealand will resume operating at Level 1 guidelines.

Virtual Appointments

We will also continue to offer virtual appointments, including;

  • Skin Cancer consultations
  • Free Spot Checks
  • Free Varicose Veins assessments

Virtual appointments can be conducted via a secure video connection (using All you will need is a phone with a camera (or you can use desktop/ laptop with a camera), and we will email you a link that will enable you to have a secure video/phone conversation with your provider. If you don’t have access to the internet, still call us as you may be able to do a phone call instead.

For virtual appointment that aren’t free to patients, there are easy ways pays to pay either by bank transfer, OxiPay or Qcard, by card over the phone or by Southern Cross where medical necessity criteria apply.

Repeat Prescriptions Request

You can continue to request a repeat prescription, please either call 0800 SKIN DR (754 637) or request online by

  • Click on the orange Book Consultation
  • Choose Appointment Type > Other Appointment
  • Fill out your details including the medication you require and the pharmacy you would like your prescription sent to
