Identifying symptoms

Vein disease symptoms are, at best, a little unsightly and, at worst, extremely painful. You may suffer from symptoms varying from discomfort and pain, itchiness and dry skin, burning sensations, restless legs at night and cramping of the calves or feet, to swelling of the ankles, discolouration, or eczema. If you find yourself with any of these, get in touch so our specialists can diagnose and treat your condition.

Full Consultation

If a Full Consultation is required, you will personally meet one of our Specialist Veins Surgeons or Doctors – that further specialise in varicose vein treatments, who will take a detailed patient history, conduct an examination and recommend whether treatment is required

Ultrasound Mapping

To determine what type of treatment is required, an ultrasound of your varicose veins will be performed by a vascular sonographer to give a detailed map of both the superficial veins and the deep veins to provide a diagnosis. This allows for an accurate plan of the best treatment option. If there are symptoms suggestive of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) a deep vein ultrasound will also be performed which can make the diagnosis with certainty.

Treatment

A treatment plan will be proposed by Surgeon/ Doctor based upon the history, examination and results of the duplex ultrasound map. Varicose vein treatment options include: Endovenous Ablation and/or Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy which are all performed by our highly experienced team of Surgeons & Doctors.

After Care and Follow Ups

You will have follow up treatments carried out by our Surgeon/ Doctors who will ensure you receive the best in expert care throughout the treatment.
