In April 2010, the Medical Council of New Zealand declared that no New Zealand medical doctor can use 'Before and after' photos of their treatments and procedures on their websites or in any form of advertising. However, 'Before and After' images can be shown and discussed during a consultation. The Elos skin renewal system is used for the overall improvement of skin appearance. It is intended for treatment of a variety of vascular and pigmented skin conditions, including rosacea, "broken" vessels and sun spots.

This patient has had one treatment with the Aurora device to a sun spot on her left cheek. The sun spot was treated successfully, however this photo shows why it is beneficial to treat the whole face or larger areas. The small area of the face that was treated shows obvious signs of rejuvenation compared to the rest of the face.
