Book now >>The PCA peel is a unique, patent pending solution that incorporates Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Kojic Acid, Salicylic Acid and Hyroquinone. These ingredients combine synergistically to not only exfoliate the outer superficical cell layer (stratum corneum), but at the same time, lighten and even out the overall skin tone. PCA peels are different to the TCA peels we offer as it is less invasive with no down time. The PCA peel is applied superficially to skin whereas a TCA peel is designed to penetrate at a deeper level with more dramatic results. A chemical peel treatment causes the regeneration of new cells to occur at a faster rate than they would do naturally. Superficial peels are generally recommended as a monthly treatment. Natural skin cell turnover follows our 28 day biological calendar like other body cycles. The speed of the cell turnover decreases as we age. Collagen and Elastin, which comprise a large part of our skin’s support structure also decrease. PCA peels are used therapeutically for skin disorders related to the environment and the aging process. If you goal is to have smooth, clear skin and a complexion that is radiant and healthy looking, we can advise you on a simple home care program combined with a series of PCA peels. Each treatment takes approximately half an hour and it is possible for you to go back to work that day and continue your usual daily routine. There is minimal discomfort during the procedure. Post treatment, expect some redness which should resolve within 12 hours and moderate flaking. The PCA peel is an ideal treatment for:
Other areas of the body that have sustained sun damage, e.g. hands or chest, are also treatable. For optimum results we recommend you follow a prescribed home skincare regime and repeat peel treatments on a monthly basis. |
