About Botox

Botox® is a purified protein derived from a naturally occurring bacteria. The effect is temporary and lasts from approximately one to six months, depending on the individual.
It has had a proven safety record for over 30 years with no long term side effects reported.

Achieving an overall look

As we age, we lose volume in the bony structures. This causes our teeth and mouth to shrink and we can develop deficits in the cheek and mid-face areas causing facial aging. Using a ‘Soft Lift’ approach helps with a natural enhancement and is a combination of different types of fillers and Botox®.
 
Here is how it works.
Structure: By building up the facial structure (where we have a deficit) with deeper fillers along the cheek bones and jawline, we can immediately see a change for the better. This is probably going to be the most significant step for an anti-aging program towards achieving a younger looking face. We also look at how we can strategically place Botox® to allow our muscles to lift and redefine our features.
 
Texture and tone: Accumulated sun damage manifests itself on the skin surface as brown spots, red veins, lines, wrinkles and skin cancers. We address most of these using Pixel Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), which not only takes away unwanted colour but also improves skin texture. Skin cancers are checked and treated by our doctors.
 
Rebuild: Once we have great structure, good texture and even skin tone, it is now that we are ready to look at lips, nasolabial folds and marionette (mouth to chin) lines. By looking at the face as a whole, we are able to achieve much nicer and more natural results. After all, we don't really want to have 20 year old lips on a 40 year old face – better to achieve an overall natural beautification and look great for our age.
