Surgery
After trying temporary, non invasive procedures such as botox or fillers, some patients decide that they would like to make a more lasting change. This usually requires some form of surgery or intervention that we classify as an invasive procedure. Invasive procedures, as the name suggests, are a little more involved and often require some form of anaesthetic. The effects are usually permanent and often performed under local anaesthetic. It is obviously a big decision to take and one not to be made lightly. Often our patients are well know to us and this process is part of a continuum, but some patients may be thinking of surgery for the first time. The Skin Institute has a 4 step process to ensuring a safe and successful journey through the process.
