Dr Marcus Platts-Mills MBChB, Dip Derm
Marcus qualified from Auckland University in 1994, becoming a Member of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners in 1997.
He developed his interest in Dermatology, Skin and Cancer surgery by providing Dermatology and Skin cancer surgery services at North Shore Hospital from 1996, completing his Diploma in Dermatology in 1999.
Marcus has worked at the Skin Institute since 1996. He commissioned the Skin Institute in Silverdale Medical in 2000. In 2005 he opened Skin Institute Silverdale, then Skin Institute Henderson in 2006 to provide comprehensive Multidisciplinary Specialist Skin and Skin Cancer services to pockets of significant need in the greater Auckland area.
Dr Marcus Platts-Mills interests in Skin Cancer include not only surgical
management but also advanced topical and non surgical treatment modalities.
