Dr Ellen Selkon

Ellen graduated from Stellenbosch University  in Cape Town, South Africa in 1991, she then worked in Namibia and England for three years before going into general practice in Cape Town. In 1997 Ellen immigrated to New Zealand where she and her husband Richard set up an A&M General Practice in Westgate. Ellen became a Fellow of the Royal College of New Zealand General Practitioners in 2003.
 
Three years ago she further developed her interest in appearance medicine and minor surgery. Ellen is currently involved with the New Zealand College of Appearance Medicine and will be receiving her fellowship in 2009. She has attended numerous surgical skills courses in South Africa and New Zealand.
 
Ellen joined the Skin Institute in 2007 when the Skin Institute Westgate opened. She works there part-time doing skin cancer checks, surgery and appearance medicine.  She has advanced Botox® training and keeps up-to-date with the latest techniques in Dermal Filler injectables by attending conferences and numerous training courses on an ongoing basis.
 
She is married to Richard and has a daughter Samantha.
